I’ve been programming, professionally and for pleasure, for an awfully long time. But without doubt, the last few years have been the most interesting.

I’ve also been writing about programming and e-commerce for over a decade, but these areas change so quickly that much of what I’ve written has become out-of-date, irrelevant or even (now) just plain wrong.

So this is a new blog. Allowing me to jettison content that’s no longer appropriate, freshen up old posts that are worthy of being re-visited, and inject lots of new information on subjects that reflect my current interests.

Those interests are architecting large scale web applications, working with big data (I’ve always loved working with data) and my framework of choice, Laravel, and its younger sibling Lumen.
